Saturn Biotech Managing director Chris Florides in one of his laboratories at the Murdoch University based WA State Agricultural Biotechnology Centre

Chris Florides has been appointed Managing Director of genetic testing and molecular diagnostics company Saturn Biotech.

Immediate past president of the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (WA), Florides has many years global experience in agri-business, both in R&D and management, having worked internationally for ICI and DOW CHEMICAL.

Using world class biotechnology and novel equipment, Saturn Biotech provides high quality molecular diagnostics and genetic testing services to Australia’s agriculture, horticulture and aquaculture industries.

Saturn Biotech is based on Murdoch University’s campus at the WA State Agricultural Biotechnology Centre (SABC), WA’s major centre for agricultural biotechnology.
