Murdoch’s commercial outlook steps up

The confusion and administration pain of commercial consulting will be considerably reduced for Murdoch academics through the recent establishment of the University-owned company MurdochLINK Pty Ltd, a one-stop-shop for commercial services.

All commercial consulting activities will now be channeled through MurdochLINK to build a hub for corporate activity at the University.

“MurdochLINK, which is now operating out of the Division of Research and Development, provides a central access point for external clients to access Murdoch University’s wealth of research expertise and build Murdoch’s corporate profile nationally and internationally,” said Mr Tim Morrison, General Manager of MurdochLINK.

“Through accessing the business experience of the MurdochLINK team, Murdoch staff will be supported through sourcing and responding to commercial opportunities, grants, tenders, and proposal writing. We will also be involved in project planning and commercial costing as well as project management and delivery.

“Through building a hub for commercial activities, MurdochLINK will provide the University with a new source of discretionary income which can benefit University staff across the campus.”
