CREST students undertake their own science or technology investigative projects, which involve three elements - creativity, application and perseverance. The projects are offered at three levels and provide challenges for different stages of development. At higher levels links are made with industry or community workers as mentors and students gain a new understanding of the role of science and technology in the community. A comprehensive programme of Professional Development for teachers and extensive written material for both teachers and students is included. CREST Awards are available for primary and secondary school students as well as young adults. The CREST programme could form a basis for mentoring or peer tutoring programmes.
